Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in the building material industry, with a focus on sales, business development, or commercial roles.
  • Proven track record of achieving significant growth and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Broad product portfolio knowledge within the building material industry.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of market dynamics and customer needs.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (advanced degree is a plus).

Responsibilities

The Commercial Director will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing effective go-to-market strategies, expanding our regional presence, nurturing talent, and driving distributor performance. The ideal candidate will have a broad portfolio of products within the industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of achieving substantial growth. This position will oversee the business, commercial, sales management, and marketing teams.

  • Lead the business, commercial, sales management, and marketing teams, providing guidance, support, and fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Identify new market opportunities, evaluate potential partnerships, and develop strategies to expand the company’s regional presence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective product development, pricing, and marketing strategies aligned with customer needs and market trends.
  • Drive distributor performance through effective relationship management, training, and incentive programs.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, industry influencers, and strategic partners.
  • Provide regular reports and analysis on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities to senior management.
